The owners of this hotel chose the site very carefully to be in their own home area. The word ‘puri’ comes from ‘buri’, which means ‘town’ and ‘punn’ means ‘to share’.
When you stay here therefore you are being invited to share the owners’ hometown and they have created an oasis of calm and beauty, containing the most enchanting elements of Lanna Thai culture for you to enjoy.
The hotel is situated in a residential area of Chiang Mai, two minutes walk from the Ping River, only a short distance from the Night Market and the many sights and restaurants which the city has to offer.
As we walked through this quiet community on the way to find the Puripunn, we had no idea of the thrill that awaited us, as we stepped from a seemingly ordinary city street into the elegance and sense of tradition, which has been woven into the creation of this stunning hotel. Each room has been individually designed, by the owners themselves, and the loving attention to detail which is apparent in the choice of furniture, colours and even flowers, is indeed inspiring.

The hotel has a very well regarded restaurant serving Thai, Northern Thai and Western food, as well as a daily afternoon High Tea which should be seen to be believed!
The pool, with Jacuzzi, also has a lounge serving drinks and light food. There is also a fitness room and Spa. If you wish to learn a new skill during your stay, both Thai Cookery classes and Vegetable Carving classes are available.
